Emma is the sole maker of Millhaus Sewing Co. North Carolina made leather bags & textile goods.
Our leather is all sourced from the local NC upholstery industry. We pride ourselves on never buying a full hide, and never shopping commercially when sourcing our leather. This gives us the ability to stick to a “no waste” leather business model, utilizing smaller partial hides and what upholsterers deem as scraps for our products to reduce waste.
The name Millhaus originates from my grandparents house on Mill St. where I learned how to sew when I was about 10 years old, taught by my grandmother and my father who owned a commercial sewing and repair shop.
